This is a great spot for dogs to run and socialise and their pawrents to chat. Great that bins and Pooh bags are provided as well! However ...the rubbish is disgusting! Why doesn't the council maintain the area? My mum and I drive down as we aren't locals. 10/01 we filled about 6 of the provided Pooh bags with litter. Understanding some would be washed up but there were plenty of old tennis balls and beer cans. Please throw your rubbish in the bins provided and the council needs to maintain the area.
Great off leash area for dogs who like the beach. Gorgeous view of the city skyline too. Needs a public toilet next to it.
Sand needs a good clean up. Many plastic bags, cups, bottles and cigarettes scattered on the beach.
Wow, this place is amazing. So much fenced in, dog friendly space with hills, flat areas, and lots of shallow water to play in. Perfect for dogs and humans alike to relax and play.
Took my 1 year old Labrador their for her first trip to the beach and we both had a ball. Lots of other people and dogs there to play with, but still enough space to be by yourself if you wanted.
Can't wait to visit again.
Great beach to bring your dog for a play around with other dogs, they all splash about and get along well. Bins, water, doggy bags are provided to the public. A water hose station with drainage would be handy to rinse off your dog before leaving.
Parking is scarce, there is no designated area to park. Most streets are permit parking, I came during the week and still a reasonable amount of dogs on the beach.

4 weeks agoFenced beach area and big space for the dogs to run off leash. Lots of seaweeds on the shore when I visited and a bit smelly.
